Communication for Academic Purposes

Our teacher in Purposive Communication discussed the proper way of creating an academic paper last meeting. He also discussed the parts of the paper and what are the thoughts should contained each part. After that, he thought us on how proper citation should be done including the references of the links and authors.

Last meeting in our subject, I participated by giving my attention while my teacher is discussing also I am taking down notes so that I can use it when I review. After the discussion, our teacher decided to have a speech. My topic about speech is about my favorite month. I choose January not only because it is my birth month but also on that month a significant event happened which I came into my family.  

I learned the different things that I should consider on doing the academic paper so that it will be informative to other people.

Last meeting we had our 2nd unit test which is composed of essays about technology that can be used in teaching. Next is about the problem of the powerpoint presentation. Lastly, is my contribution in teaching. At first I was shocked because I didn't expect that the test is all essays and outlines. The exam that I'm expecting is with multiple choices and essay but only in the last part.

I focused at the essays because it divided into three essays. I used my knowledge to answer the questions briefly. Giving all my attention to tge test helped me to finish all the essays including the outlines. The exam made me think critically to construct a sentences about the topic. Also the exam enhanced my knowledge on doing essays.

I realized that purposive communication helped me to improve my skills and knowledge because I applied it all in the test last week. I know that there's still a room for me to improve and to grow more to become a professional person someday. I know that the knowledge that I learned from this subject will help me someday. Also I will apply this when I became a professional teacher.
